the old man and the apples

There was an apple tre named Ted.
It grew luch apples every year.
But its owner named Jed
Was selfish and kept them for himself

The next harvest a young boy that wasn't fed
Stopped by and tried to pick the apples like a wolf taking a mom's cub
The old man scolded him then said
You can have half the apples for food
The rest you sell to get you some shoes.

Descriptive paragraph

Even though the Melba was closed only fifty years after its opening, it still came out as the cheapest, and oldest movie theatre around.  If you go to this building that is around seventy years old the mustiness overwhelms everything else.  But as you slowlyu walk farther and farther into the dimly lit lobby you start to smell the sweet, freshly melted butter that goes on the popcorn.  Fighting for a place in line, the people are like a wild pack of coyotes fighting for their food.  As you slowly reach into the large popcorn bucket you can feel the butter, as it soaks into your fingers.  If you're quiet and listening you can hear the film rolling high above your head.  As the movie goes on you feel your knee is wet, so you pick up your cup and hurridly put it back down after your finger tips touch the cold condensation dripping off of your cup.  Later on in the movie you smell something very strong, it is hot in the movie, and you realize it is everybody's body odor.  You get up to leave because the movie is over but then you are bombarded by people that are also trying to get through the double doors.

Advertisement Analysis

"Professional Paris" make up ads, the first to be untouched.  The aim of "Professional Paris's" ad is to show that with their make up you do not have to re-edit your pictures.  They use many tones to express the importance of buying their products.
They use a very beautiful girl to draw in, and try to show that they can be beautiful when using their make up.  Trying to be better looking, the girl scrunched up her hair.  This makes her better looking, especially to guys, because guys love when a girl is confident in their looks.  In the ad it says "your looking at the first unretouched make up ad."  It is trying to show that with their product you do not have to edit your photos.  Dreaming of never having to edit their photos, "Professional Paris" made every teenage girls dream come true.
The ad has many tones that they use to help show their purpose and help sell their product.  One big tone is hapiness.  This helps show the purpose and helps sell their product because nobody wants to buy a product that makes people upset. Another very important tone for the ad is confidence.  This ad shows confidence through many ways.  One way is the girl is showing confidence by letting them put her in the ad with no retouching.
People that design advertisements have to ad very many tones to help sell their product.  They also use catchy slogans.  In my ad the two main confidents were confidence and hapiness.  So next time you go to buy a product actually analyze their ads.

i am poem

I am athletic and unorganized
I wonder where I'll go in live
I hear a plane roaring by
I see a cloud in the sky
I want to be someone
I am athletic and unorganized

I pretend I will be a pro baseball player
I feel the snow on the mountains
I touch wrigley field
I worry that I wont get to do everything i want to in live
I cry when I think bout some family concerns
I am athletic and unorganized

I understand peoples problems
I say God is real
I dream about falling off my bed
I try to give 100 percent in everything I do
I hope my life will be good
I am athletic and unorganized
